LORENZ FORCE

Formula:

LORENZ FORCE

Description: force on a moving charge in a magnetic field
Syntax: /* The force acting on a moving charge Q in a magnetic field shows in a direction perpendicular to both the magnetic flux density B and the velocity v. φ means the angle between the velocity and the flux density vector.*/
LF = Q * v * B * SIN(φ)
/* As the Lorenz_force acts perpendicular to the velocity v , a charged particle would move on a circular path with a radius r as long as the velocity remains constant (e.g. in vacuum) and φ is 90°. */
r = m * v / (Q * B)
Note:

The vector LF is a so called vector product of the two vectors v and B times Q.
